Binsar Sanctuary
I haven't previously included holiday pictures in the website but our trip to northern India in early 2014 was quite special.
We started the holiday with some fascinating sight-seeing in Delhi and finished at the Corbett National Park with wildlife safaris by Jeep and an elephant named Kalina. In between was the main focus of our trip; we were privileged to visit the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. Four of us, Andy and Jo, Lorna and me, together with two local guides Hem and Harish, spent eight days in this remote area, distant from any roads or towns. We stayed in village guesthouses, ate local food grown and prepared by the villagers, and gained a memorable insight into a rural way of life. The gallery shows a sample of our time there, picture titles are purely for location purposes.
