Shropshire Rock
An objective exploration of rocks, searching beneath and beyond their visible qualities. Rocks are a part of the landscape, intrinsic to the pattern of life and existence. Their visual qualities and condition reveal markers for evolution, providing questions which help to articulate something of the meaning of the land, the landscape and man's presence. Referring to the haiku poet Kenkichi Kusomoto, 'truth is ... ... what we find when we break through the husk of external form and pierce the essence of a thing'.
