St Botolph, Swyncombe
This is a fairly remote church, having few neighbours apart from a farm. Inside, there are many contrasts between ancient and modern. The west window is ancient whereas the nearby similar opening in the north has a design containing a biplane and was installed as a memorial in 1979. The apse and its decoration are mediaeval but the Agnus Dei window therein was installed only in 1984. The Aumbry Lamp, in memory of a young girl who died on Christmas day 1969, is a simple contrast to these ornate windows.
