St Peter & St Paul, Ellesborough

The picture of the exterior of this church emphasizes its rural nature, being surrounded by fields with just a few small cottages. It is, however, unusually prominent, standing on a small hillock and being itself a very tall building.
Inside there are treasures that are perhaps unexpected for such a rural situation. The richly ornate Reredos was designed by Sir Ninian Comper, but is very different to the one in Ewelme. The vestry contains an interesting window of mediaeval glass.
