Wirral peninsula
25th January 2015. The day started at RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands, overlooking the Dee Estuary. It was cold and blustery but beautifully sunny, ideal for bird watching and photography, provided you had the right layers. The birders logged 41 species before moving on to Red Rock Sands near Hoylake, seeing waders coming in as the tide went out. We finished the day at RSPB Parkgate as the sun set over the Wirral.
